No writing background is required as everyone should, in time, develop their own voice aided by writing tips, constructive comments and suggestions from group members. Ideas as to format, sequencing and tone can be gleaned from reading one or more books on a list of outstanding memoirs published in the last thirty years.

On most walks there are likely to be inclines where some may become out of breath and rather warm. There could also be paths which are rocky and occasionally shallow streams to cross. These challenging hill and mountain walks, varying in distance from eight to 14 kms, are intended for members who enjoy a good brisk outing, tackling some gradients and uneven ground. Anyone wishing to attend a walk should be fully confident of their ability to participate.
